As the world prioritises a good night's sleep, more travellers are choosing to book separate rooms or beds on their holidays.

In fact, 51% of UK travellers avoid setting alarms on holiday to catch up on much-needed Zzzs. This trend, known as 'sleep divorce,' is gaining popularity, with 59% sleeping better alone and 33% preferring separate beds while travelling.

Me-Mooning - Solo Travel Continues to Rise
With social media filled with honeymoon and babymoon posts, a new trend has emerged: the 'Me-Moon.'

23% of travellers aim to embrace solo adventures in 2025 for self-discovery, relaxation and new connections.

Many adults are revisiting their childhood holiday spots with their own families, creating shared memories and passing down traditions. 

45% of Brits take their kids to destinations they visited as children, and 51% choose places they dreamed of exploring when they were young.

Family holidays are increasingly being shaped by the interests and preferences of children.

60% of UK travellers actively pick destinations based on their kids' needs and interests, and 58% plan itineraries around their children's favourite activities.

DINK couples are embracing luxury travel and are willing to spend more on their holidays. 64% of UK Zillennials prioritise the finer things while travelling, with 51% not hesitating to splurge on a room upgrade.

Relationship breakups are driving new travel opportunities. 34% of Brits are likely to book a holiday with friends after a relationship ends, and 52% of Zillennials have jetted off on a spontaneous trip.

The allure of unplanned travel is growing, with 76% of Brits embracing spontaneity. 17% arrive at their destination with only the first night's accommodation booked, while 14% land without any bookings at all.

This spontaneity extends to activities and restaurants, as 64% of UK travellers prefer local recommendations.

The debate between relaxation and adventure continues, with 71% of Brits wanting to experience both. 

48% enjoy lounging by the pool, while 59% prefer active pursuits. To strike the perfect balance, travellers are turning to flexible itineraries, alternating daily experiences and choosing hotels that offer both relaxation and adventure.
